What goes into a proper AC installation
Two installs of the same equipment can perform very differently. Most of what decides how a new system runs for the next 15 years happens before and during installation, not on the spec sheet.
A load calculation, not a guess
We size the system with a Manual J calculation using your home's square footage, insulation, windows, sun exposure, and layout. Rules of thumb like "one ton per 500 square feet" routinely oversize Florida homes, and an oversized AC cools fast but leaves the house clammy.
A matched indoor and outdoor system
The outdoor unit and indoor coil are designed to work as a pair. Since 2025, new residential systems are being built for newer refrigerants such as R-454B and R-32, so pairing a new outdoor unit with an old indoor coil is often not an option.
The right efficiency for a long cooling season
In the Southeast, new split air conditioners must meet federal minimum efficiency standards measured in SEER2. Because Southwest Florida cools almost year-round, higher-efficiency tiers pay back faster here than in most of the country. We show you the trade-off rather than defaulting to the most expensive option.
Ductwork, drains, and electrical
We check duct condition and sizing, route the condensate drain with a working float switch, and confirm the breaker, wiring, and disconnect are correct for the new equipment.
Permitted and code-compliant
AC replacements in Florida require a permit and inspection. Outdoor units must be anchored to meet wind-load requirements, and homes in flood zones may need the unit mounted at a required height.

Equipment age and condition, where the air handler sits (garage, closet, or attic), duct condition, and the electrical service feeding the unit.
We ask how the house actually feels
Hot rooms, humidity, noise, and bills tell us as much as the equipment does. Bring a recent electric bill if it's handy.
